Who we are

RepoLens (“we”, “us”) is a property-information service operated by Tunelo (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/298503/07, a company incorporated in South Africa. By creating an alert subscription or paying for a plan, you agree to these terms. You can reach us at hello@repolens.co.za or on WhatsApp at 064 682 5751.

What RepoLens is

RepoLens is an information and alerting service. We collect sale-in-execution and auction notices that have already been published in the South African Government Gazette and in public bank and sheriff feeds, we organise them by area, bank and price, and we notify you when a new one appears that matches what you asked to watch. That is the entire service: publicly published notices, gathered and delivered to you sooner.

What RepoLens is not

We are not an estate agency and we are not registered with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority. We do not market property, represent buyers or sellers, bid on your behalf, introduce you to a seller for reward, or take any commission, referral fee or share of any transaction. We are not a bank, attorney, sheriff, auctioneer, bond originator or financial services provider, and we are not affiliated with any of them. Nothing on RepoLens is legal, financial, tax or investment advice. Contact details shown on a listing belong to the sheriff or instructing attorney named in the published notice, not to us.

Accuracy of listing information

We reproduce what was published. Notices are frequently postponed, cancelled, settled or withdrawn after publication, sometimes on the day of the sale, and the published details themselves can contain errors. Not every listing is a bank repossession — some are sales in execution brought by a body corporate for unpaid levies, or by other creditors, and these carry different risks. Reserve prices, outstanding rates, levies and occupancy status change without notice reaching us.

You must therefore verify every material fact directly with the sheriff or the instructing attorney named on the notice before you act, and you should take your own legal advice before bidding. We give no warranty that any listing is current, complete or accurate, and we are not a party to any sale you pursue.

Free and paid plans

The free plan sends one digest a week, on a Monday, covering one filter you choose. The paid plan sends an alert on the day a matching notice is gazetted, lets you watch as many areas and banks as you like, and includes the case number, the sheriff and the instructing attorney on each listing. The paid plan costs R99 per month or R990 per year, in South African Rand, inclusive of any applicable VAT. We will always tell you before a price change takes effect, and a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Payment and renewal

Payments are processed by Paystack. Your card details are entered on Paystack’s secure checkout and are never stored on, or visible to, RepoLens. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly plans every month, annual plans every year — using the card you authorised, until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails we will retry it and let you know; if it keeps failing your subscription reverts to the free plan rather than being deleted.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time and we do not charge a cancellation fee. First purchases carry a seven-day cooling-off right. The detail is set out in our Cancellation Policy and our Refund Policy, which form part of these terms.

Acceptable use

The alerts and listings we send you are for your own use. You may not scrape, bulk download, resell, republish or redistribute our compiled listings or alerts as a competing feed or product, and you may not use the service to send unsolicited marketing to owners, occupants or any person named in a notice. We may suspend an account that does this. The underlying Gazette notices are public records and we claim no rights over them; the compilation, enrichment and presentation are ours.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running and the alerts timely, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we do not guarantee that every qualifying notice will be captured or delivered — publication feeds go down, notices are published in unexpected formats, and email and WhatsApp delivery is outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without limiting any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for any loss arising from a bid you placed, a property you bought or did not buy, or a notice you did not receive.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using RepoLens at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where a payment is charged back fraudulently. If we close your account without cause while you are on a paid plan, we will refund the unused portion of what you paid.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and we will tell subscribers by email before a material change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
