Privacy Policy

Who we are

RepoLens (“we”, “us”) is a property-information service operated by Tunelo, based in South Africa. We aggregate publicly published sale-in-execution notices from the South African Government Gazette and bank repossession feeds. You can reach us at hello@repolens.co.za.

What we collect

• Analytics data: if you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referral source). IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use this data to identify you personally and we do not run advertising.
• Server logs: like any website, our hosting records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user-agent) for security and reliability. These are retained for a limited period and not used to build profiles of you.
• Things you send us: if you email or WhatsApp us, we keep that correspondence to respond to you.

When you use the search box we keep what you typed, with ID numbers, phone numbers and email addresses removed first, together with the filters it was read as, how many results it returned and which result you opened. We do not keep your IP address or a browser identifier with it. If you arrived from one of our emails, the search is linked to your subscription. We use this to improve the search, and delete it after 12 months.

Consent & cookies

Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them via our consent banner. Until then, analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode). You can decline, and you can clear your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Analytics data is processed by Google as our processor. Search box text, with ID numbers, phone numbers and email addresses removed first, is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to read it into search filters. It is not used to train their models. If you search or ask by voice, the recording is sent to RepoLens and turned into text by Google Cloud Speech-to-Text. RepoLens does not keep the recording; the words are handled like typed search text, as described above. Google does not use the recording to train its models (data logging is off). We are not affiliated with any bank, attorney, bond originator, or financial services provider, contact details shown on listings belong to the relevant sheriff or attorney as published in the Gazette.

Your rights (POPIA)

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@repolens.co.za. If you are unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
