How you buy this

1. Every listing is free, and there's no account. You don't register with RepoLens and there's no login — every sale we hold is free to read, including the address, the reserve and the auction date. 2. You buy at the sheriff's auction, not from us. The instructing attorney named on the gazette notice gives you the conditions of sale and confirms whether the auction is still going ahead. Their details go out with the weekly digest on a plan.
3. You can try to buy it before the auction. A sale in execution can be stopped by a private sale, but it needs both the owner and the bank to agree, and the number that decides it is the settlement figure — which the bank holds and we do not. The route is the instructing attorney above: quote the case number and their reference and ask whether the bank will consider an offer before the sale date. It often comes to nothing. It costs a phone call to find out, and most buyers never ask.
4. Ask what's owing before you bid. The reserve isn't the whole story — rates, municipal charges and body-corporate levies can land on the buyer. Ask the attorney or sheriff what rates and levies are outstanding before you bid.
